Mission Statement
SAAPA Charter
SAAPA is a universal organization with the ideals of equality, responsibility, ethnicity and training for all accredited professionals and industry groups who operate within South Australia Planning legislation.
We foster high standard of training, and interaction with the relevant stakeholders in Industry and community.
Commitment to provide continued support to all areas relating to Planning and Building processes to and within the community.
Executive
David has over 37 years of experience in the planning profession, including 7 years with the City of Enfield where he rose to the position of Acting City Planner, and 28 years as a planning consultant.
During his employment, David has developed strong skills as a negotiator together with extensive experience in a diverse range of fields such as Development Plan Amendments, development control, planning appeals, project management, heritage planning, environmental assessment, tourism development and main street development.
David has worked extensively in the areas of regional and local planning, taking responsibility for major projects, preparation of numerous planning documents and the management and preparation of a considerable number of Development Plan Amendments.
He has developed a rapport with a wide range of consultants, Government officials, legal firms and Councils and has acted as planning consultant and planner for a large number of Metropolitan and Rural Councils.
He has appeared before the Federal Court, Supreme Court, Environment Resources and Development Court as well as various Licensing Authorities and brings a wealth of the experience to the Committee of SAPPA.
George is an inaugural member of SAAPA responsible for membership matters. He has been actively involved in the building industry for over 50 years with extensive experience and involvement with state and national building reforms in various roles including State & National AIBS President, Chair AIBS National Accreditation Panel, Manager Building Policy Branch, member of the ABCB & Building Codes Committee and since 2001 has his own practice as a private certifier.
Sozo is an inaugural member of SAAPA acting as Treasurer and membership matters. He has been actively involved in the building industry as a Registered Architect for over 30 years and Building Surveyor Level 1 for 25 years working as a Private Certifier.
He has extensive experience and involvement serving in the past on AIBS State Chapter Committees and AIBS National Accreditation Panel and is committed to ensuring that the profession is effectively represented on all issues affecting Accredited Professionals in SA
I have been involved in Building Surveying for over 30 years.
Work in Local Government, State Government (WA & SA) and private practice (WA & SA)
Past National President of the AIBS, Board member for 6 years.
I am committed to improving the industry, education within our profession and promoting the profile of accredited professionals.
